We have added 3 more Case Studies, all of which are about the clean-up of gasworks wastes. The next addition will be a Case Study about the remediation of contaminated sites on the Rhodes Peninsula, 20 km. west of Sydney’s CBD. The Case Study will be comprehensive and offer a wealth of technical and social knowledge about this ground-breaking project. Expect it around June 2026 sometime!
Whether in depth or summaries, our Case Study selection offers insight into how land and water remediation is done, how people respond to the process and how the risks and benefits of remediation are explained. The Case Studies show that sometimes contamination can be reduced, and sometimes eliminated. The goal in both scenarios is to make the land and water safe for people and where possible, enhance the natural environment. The way remediation is approached always depends on the situation.
